HOLEY BASALT! The amazing geology of the Holyoke Range In-Person
Another amazing talk with local geology professor Dr. Richard Little! Wednesday, January 21st, 5:30-6:30 pm at the Library Annex.
The Holyoke Range looms over many Ct. River Towns and Cities, and the Connecticut River cuts through it! How....why....?? While the Range runs southward to New Haven, it has an E - W bend in the Amherst / Granby area. Prof Little will solve this mystery, and YOU will find out the many reasons why the Holyoke Range is geologically important and also mysterious in this illustrated program. Rare Jurassic Armored Mud Balls will be displayed, too.
