Finding Home: A Palestinian Pajama Storytime with Hannah Moushabeck and Safa Suleiman

Finding Home: A Palestinian Pajama Storytime with Hannah Moushabeck and Safa Suleiman In-Person

All are welcome to join us (in pajamas and with a stuffie if you like!) for this special evening of stories, snacks and crafts. We are excited to welcome local author, Hannah Moushabeck, who will be reading her 2023 picture book, Homeland: My Father Dreams of Palestine, as well as Safa Suleiman who will be reading her newly released book, Hilwa's Gifts. Book Moon Books will be present and available for book sales of both picture books. Registration is encouraged as space is limited; click here to register.

Hannah Moushabeck is a second-generation Palestinian American author, editor, and book marketer who was raised in a family of publishers and booksellers in Western Massachusetts and England. Born in Brooklyn into Interlink Publishing, a family-run independent publishing house, she learned the power of literature at a young age. She is the author of Homeland: My Father Dreams of Palestine (Chronicle Books, March 2023). She lives in Amherst, Massachusetts on the homelands of the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc Nations.

Safa Suleiman is a Palestinian American educator with more than twenty years of experience in undergraduate and elementary school pedagogy. She is the author of Hilwa’s Gifts (‘25, Candlewick), which received a starred review from Booklist, calling it “an absolute treasure,” and Ameena’s Special Thobe (‘26, Candlewick). Safa lives in Colorado, in the homeland of the Ute Nation.
